I have a new favorite handmade natural soap. I have had a really hard time this spring and summer with my allergies creating some breathing problems and muscle soreness.
This is the combo of essential oils that muscle tested the best for me and they worked really well. I was finally able to relax and take a deep breath! Like all of my soaps, this left my skin soft and lathers well (even in my well water). If you need relief from the heaviness of the air, pollen or muscle soreness give this soap a try.
SASSAFRAS oil is extracted from the roots of sassafras bush/tree. Sassafras has been used to treat a variety of skin conditions including skin eruptions, insect bites and stings, and although the oils are toxic, they can be used externally to treat skin wounds and sores because of their antiseptic properties. External application can also provide relief from itching from poison ivy and poison oak.
WINTERGREEN oil relaxes aching muscles, ligaments and body joints. It has also been found to be useful in neurological conditions like sciatica. On a mental level the scent of wintergreen is mentally stimulating and increases attentiveness... Great morning shower stuff or mid afternoon shower to gain some extra energy in your day!
EUCALYPTUS opens the lungs and encourages breathing, clears clogged nasal passages and bronchial congestion. Eucalyptus oil is also a good pain reliever for sore muscles.
Interesting side note, I muscle tested for this combo of oils, focusing on what I needed to get some relief... I had not focused on the insect bites on my ankles or the poison ivy starting on my wrist, just the breathing and soreness. Interesting how the sassafras got in there I almost talked myself out of adding it to the mix but I am glad I included it in this soap. I love the fragrance
I USE THIS EUCALYPTUS, WINTERGREEN & SASSAFRAS NATURAL SOAP FOR: Congestion, Headaches related to allergies, Muscle soreness, Poison Ivy, Afternoon funk, Acne & Insect bites.
